Weight Loss Doesn’t Have to Be Confusing…
Don’t eat any carbs, or actually do, but not after 6pm…
or… it’s okay to have carbs as long as they are juiced, like a detox, you know?
But… then you must only drink the juices.
Fat is bad, no wait, it’s good. Actually, it’s only good if you don’t eat carbs, unless… you are juicing.
Protein causes cancer! So don’t eat too much protein.. or fat… or carbs.
Cut out gluten! Actually, go Paleo, you can eat as much as you want as long as it’s Paleo.
But, don’t eat too much animal protein, maybe it’s better to be a vegan?
This is pretty much a summary of everything I tried to do to lose weight and get a lean, toned athletic physique from the age of 16 to about 29!
Yep, even though I had a degree in Sports Science and Biochemistry, was a qualified Personal Trainer and then Nutritional Therapist, I was still confused!
It has only been in the last few years that I feel like I totally got a handle on what works.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think those years were wasted, I have learnt so much from them and also, it helps me completely understand the struggle and get in the head of so many women trying to lose weight.
The good news is that I made all these mistakes so that you don’t have to.
And it’s not that some of these “diets” didn’t work. They did.
But I also found myself either putting the weight back on again, or negatively impacting my health and energy.
I felt trapped by being on a diet and never learnt how to obtain THE MOST IMPORTANT GOAL OF ALL, healthy maintenance.
This is where I am now.
