Begin to Tri: 1 month plan

Dust the cobwebs off your bike, lace up your runners, and suit up for the triathlon season! This 1 month plan features a mix of swim, bike, and run workouts to get you started on your triathlon training. Good for those with a consistent fitness base as well as those looking for more structured training. Intended as an intro for those pursuing the Sprint distance, but also will aid Olympic distance triathletes in developing a solid base.

Progresses from 3-6 days of training per week, including rest days, optional rest or cross-training days, and suggestions for tri specific strength and mobility exercises.

Swim: Begins at 200 meter, progressing to 500+ meter workouts. Mix of distance and time based swims.

Bike: 30 minute – 60 minute rides

Run:starting at 2 miles and progressing to 6 miles, cycling workouts
